Hi, I'm Annie.

Welcome to my blog! This is where I document my life as a wife, mother, florist, photographer, yogi and traveler.

Friday Favorites From Grumbling Grace

Friday Favorites From Grumbling Grace

Happy Friday everyone! It was an extremely LONG but quick week for me. I'm all moved in and working on unpacking the endless boxes...oh the boxes. But I of course couldn't skip Friday Favorites! This week I am so excited because I was lucky enough to convince once of my favorite people to guest post on my page! I can not explain how thrilled and honored I am to have Abbie here on my page. She is a truly amazing woman who I admire and adore. So without further ado... here is the amazing Abbie!

Hello all you lovely Simply Annie readers!

Two out of three? I'll take it!

Two out of three? I'll take it!

I'm Abbie from Grumbling Grace, a wife, teacher and mombie of two littles two and under, writing about mom life, mom style, and mom fails. I was fortunate enough to stumble across Annie's beautiful Instagram feed and followed the trail to her blog where I immediately recognized a kindred spirit in the positive uplifting community she is creating for women in cyberspace. So how excited I was when Annie offered to let me commandeer Friday Favorites this week? Kids napping at the same time excited!

I love Annie's focus on living well and living simply, so I decided to share my favorite, simple baby product for spring and winter with you today on Friday Faves!  Babies come with so much gear and sometimes all the baby toys and paraphernalia overwhelms me. Plus, I’m clumsy and liable to trip over it. Anywhere I can minimize the stuff and do more with less, I am on board.

One of my favorite routines as the weather gets warmer is getting out of the house and going for a walk with my littles. If I don't HAVE to bring a stroller, I like to avoid it as my older daughter is really enjoying the exercise and the exploring, and I often baby-carry my youngest. I don't know about you, but I LOVE to baby-carry seven-month old Gabrielle (I'm an Ergo girl) but sometimes the wind is a little sharp or it's a little too cool for her to really enjoy walks at this time of year.

Enter the Make My Belly Fit jacket extender.

She's so little here. It goes so fast! I know some of you are already reveling in Spring, but I'm up here in chilly Canada just trying to move from full-on Sorel Boots to fashion booties, okay? :)

I have used this product just about every day for the past six months. It's basically a panel that zips into my coats and jackets so I can wear Gabby underneath them comfortably, front or backward facing.

Last week: snug as a bug in a rug. Yes we do still have that much snow. Count your blessings.

I love that I can still have my hands-free to chase my two and a half year old and that it is so versatile because who wants to wear the same coat every day? P.S. No, I am not in any way sponsored by this awesome small business. It's honestly just the best thing in the world!

I wish I'd discovered this great little life hack while I was pregnant because this jacket extender also transforms your coats into maternity wear! I love style, but I'd rather spend my money on shoes (and donuts). Maternity coats and jackets are so expensive and not that cute, so this little extender is a style saver and a money saver. It's also going to come in handy for pregnancy with baby number three. Shhh. Don't tell my husband I just said that.  We're not out of the no-sleep zone yet.

If you have any questions about this nifty little product, I wrote a full review about it here

What's your favorite kids’ product to simplify your life? Share the secrets, ladies!
