Happy Monday everyone! Hopefully you all started your week off well. I certainly was dragging this morning, could have used about 3 more hours of sleep but oh well. In the midst of this move I feel like I’m living in boxes and losing my sanity simultaneously. I have so much to do, but have no clue where to start and at the same time feel like I don’t have anything to do… I make no sense I know. I avoid things when I really don’t what to do them. I am a pro at it really. I am putting my skill into full effect lately with packing… I hate packing, like loathe it. It’s just such a pain and I never realize how much STUFF I have until I have to move. I blame Target for this… all their adorable decor and knick-knacks.
As much as I hate moving and packing. There is something at the end of the road to look forward to. I find something refreshing and exciting in being able to start all over on decorating and arranging a home. You can start with a clean palate and create whatever you want. You can take what you have and make it look like new again.
I have never really pegged my style as anything. I’m not modern, or rustic, I’m kind of a hodge-podge I guess… but lately I am loving everything country cottage chic and or farmhouse style… is there a name for mixing the two styles together? Whites, greys, boxwoods, distressed wood, anything old… yup I want it all! I’ve been scouring Pinterest, Instagram, Bloglovin just gazing at the possible ways to decorate. What else would I use nap time for?!
So I felt like sharing some of the things I’m ogling lately.
I keep lying awake at night (for about 10 minutes) and I decorate every room in my mind. I take all the fun items I currently have and move them around, place them in groups and do it all again. I think it’s safe to say I’m mildly obsessed. As I do this I of course create the ultimate room that would be shown in Better Homes and Gardens… maybe one day. I’ve already started shopping online too, but am telling myself to wait and see what I need once I’m actually in the house! Patience Annie. Hopefully I can get my butt in gear and pack this week so I actually have a home to move into!
