Planning The Perfect Spring Event With Basic Invite

It’s finally upon us. The flowers and trees are starting to bud, warmer days are sneaking in, and spring is finally here. There’s just something about this season, it lifts the spirits and gets us excited for what’s to come. BBQ’s, picnics, pool days, parties with friends, graduations if you’re anything like me spring makes you start planning! Thinking up all these wonderful ideas of things you’d like to do with your home, events you want to host, milestones that are on the horizon. I’m definitely a party planner, I absolutely LOVE hosting and any time I have the opportunity to have people over I’m all about it. Maybe it’s just being surrounded by friends, maybe it’s the food, maybe it’s the details that go into it... but I’m a sucker for a good get-together.

If I can, I will always mail an invitation to my events. I think it’s because I’m one of those people who loves getting good old-fashioned snail mail, there’s something about seeing a handwritten envelope addressed to you amongst all the junk. It makes me happy, and why not hold onto those little things that make the most mundane day better? Yes the post office is slow, and yes e-mail is “easier,” but give me an invitation any day.

But how to find the perfect invite? Or even a thank you card for the party you just attended?

I know how many invitation companies there are out there, hundreds of thousands of billions probably, okay maybe that’s an exaggeration. But when you’re trying to find that perfect invite that won’t cost a fortune and really has some personality, it can feel like there are too many companies out there. I have a little secret for you, I’ve found the best one. Yeah, you read that right. I have found the best place to order your custom invitations online. Drum roll please…

Basic Invite is the place to get all your invitations, announcements, thank you cards, you name it. Think wedding, baby shower, graduation, birthday party, Thanksgiving, Christmas, spring fling. With other online companies I’ve discovered that their services are very limited, you get one option for your project and the “customization” is you adding your photos. But with Basic Invite I legitimately mean they are customizable and here is why:

  • Almost Unlimited Colors - Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows you an almost unlimited amount of color options. You can change the color of each element on the card to over 180 different choices to make sure the card is exactly how you want it down to the most minute detail.
  • Custom Samples - Basic Invite is one of the few websites that allows you the ability to order a printed sample of their actual invitation… I mean come on, how amazing is that? How many times have you ordered a card and it was NOTHING like you thought it would be? Well fear no more!
  • Over 40 Different Colors of Envelopes - Basic Invite is just as colorful with their envelopes as they are with the invitations. You can choose from over 40 different colors for your envelopes! Give me all the colors please! And… all of the envelopes are peel and seal no more licking yourself into a papercut coma.
  • Address Capturing Service - They offer an address capturing service that allows customers (or anybody) to simply share a link on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or anywhere else to request their friends and family’s addresses which is a tremendous time saver! Basic Invite also offers recipient address printing at no cost on all Christmas card orders!!!! This just saved my life come December!

Have I sold you yet? If not here’s something to sweeten the deal, they’re offering 15% off your order with code 15FF51. So all you mamas out there who are planning a graduation party, a baby shower, a bridal shower, a birthday party, you know all the aforementioned party possibilities that spring brings… they even have you covered on the thank you cards you may need to send out afterwards. If you don’t want them to print for you, they have a digital download option. So for those of you who don’t agree with me on snail mail, you can still send out a perfectly customized invitation via email!

Just browsing these invitations is making me want to throw a fancy dinner party to get the season started off right. I may have already picked out Lil’s third birthday invitations… for July! And since high school graduation season is just around the corner it's a perfect time to plan ahead for your party needs.  I’m not sure now if I have a party addiction, or a cute invitation addiction. I guess we may never know.

Happy spring, and happy party season!
