What I am Thankful For This Thanksgiving
Since it is the week of Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season I thought I’d share a quick post sharing with you all the things I am thankful for. It is such a busy time of year and everyone is running to gatherings, shopping, decorating, all that on top of regular life that we forget sometimes to stop and take a minute to enjoy it all, to enjoy the holidays and to be thankful for what we have. I personally can easily forget that there are so many good things in my life, especially when life gets hectic. So as my three nephews and niece play behind me while watching The Grinch, I’m taking a minute to stop and be grateful.
First and foremost, I’m grateful for my husband and my daughter. The two people who keep me going and who make the most mundane days so special. These two are my everything and they make me a better person, they make me want to be the best I can be no matter what. I can’t imagine my life without them. Which brings me to my family, siblings, nephews, nieces, extended family… we may not be the perfect family, and we certainly have our flaws. But they’ve all made me into the person I am and they teach me lessons daily. We’ve been through a lot together and are climbing mountains as I type this, but we always manage to come out stronger.
My friends, my tribe, the people who are my sisters and brothers from other Mr’s and Mrs’s. These are the people who know me oh so well, who are always there and who make our lives so much greater. I cannot wait to see what adventure we get into and where the years take us, I wouldn’t be the same without all of my tribe, all the relationships I’ve built over the many years we’ve been together.
I’m thankful for my ability to have brought my daughter into this world, for my ability to wake up everyday and live my life, my health. I’m thankful for my yoga, my body which does so much for me every day. I’m thankful for my blog, this grand adventure that has taught me to believe in myself. I’m thankful for you, all my readers and supporters who make my blogging journey what it is. I’m thankful for my beautiful home, the clothes on my back. I’m thankful for all that I have, I am so overwhelmingly lucky to be where I am and to have the life that I live.
I hope that you all enjoy your Thanksgiving tomorrow and that you stop and take a second to be thankful, to take it all in and enjoy it. Even the moments of chaos that will probably ensue. Happy Thanksgiving!
