Top 5 Favorite Recipes
It’s our second week of Friday Favorites!!! In the whole process of growing my blog I’ve come across so many other great blogs about cooking. I love scouring these pages for new recipes and seeing all the pictures of the yummy delights. I love to cook... there is something cathartic about being in the kitchen! But I don’t do it very often anymore… we usually switch off who cooks and whoever isn’t cooking is doing bedtime. So in the spirit of cooking I thought it would be fun to share five of my favorite recipes with all of you!
Some of these are recent finds and some are die hard staples in my house. I love finding new meals so if you have any to share please do!!
-This one comes from Christy over at The Girl Who Ate Everything. I came across this blog years ago thanks to the never failing Pinterest and man am I glad I found it! I have made this recipe so many times that I don’t even need to pull up the website anymore… it’s THAT good! Chicken in Basil Cream Sauce the name alone makes me hungry! We mix up the sides for this one... veggies, rice, bread. It all tastes amazing with it. The sauce is so good that I mop it up with bread and end up with a squeaky clean plate! This is a must try this weekend!
-Next we have the Creamy Chicken, Spinach and Mushroom Tortellini soup from Jaclyn over at Cooking Classy. Now this one I only found two or so weeks ago. I posted about it in my Instagram account… but this one is fantastic! I’m not a huge soup-is-a-meal person (where are my carbs!?) but this one completely changes my perspective on that. It is truly delicious and since finding it I have made this twice in about two weeks.
-This I have not made in a hot minute, and will need to do so ASAP because writing about it is making me want this for dinner! This is Chicken Pesto Stuffed Shells from Once A Month Meals. Again, such an easy recipe and full of flavor. We’ve been known to serve this one when people come over for dinner because it is so easy to make but looks great on the table and tastes ah-mazing!
-Can you tell that most of the meat consumed in our house is chicken? That’s one of the reasons I like this recipe from Chungah at Damn Delicious so much, it’s beef and asian all in one! Winner! Beef Noodle Stir Fry. When I first found this recipe on Pinterest I was nervous, stir fry sounded so daunting to me, and I don’t have a Wok! But Chungah put together a fantastic easy recipe that takes 25 minutes!!
-Finally we have some Mexican cuisine! This one is from Chef In Training and was another one I found a bit daunting stuffed peppers?! I mean who has time for that? Well apparently I do! Because these Enchilada Stuffed Bell Peppers were super easy and holy delicious!
So there we are, 5 of my favorite recipes. What are your favorites? Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all enjoy your weekends.
